Circular 230
Professional notice.
Treasury Department Circular 230 governs practice before the Internal Revenue Service. This page is how the firm describes that obligation on this site.
This site is not written tax advice
Articles, service descriptions, examples, and any other material on this website are general information. They are not written advice directed to a particular taxpayer, and they cannot be used to avoid penalties that may be imposed under the Internal Revenue Code. Circular 230 no longer requires the old “covered opinion” legend on every communication. We still state the point plainly: do not rely on this site as advice for your facts.
No engagement until we are retained
Visiting this site, submitting the intake, booking a complimentary consultation, or exchanging email or messages does not create a practitioner–client relationship. That relationship begins only when both sides have agreed to the scope of work and the firm has accepted the engagement in writing. Until then, do not send Social Security numbers or other sensitive returns through ordinary email.
Advertising and results
Under Circular 230 §10.30, we do not make false or misleading claims. Client remarks on this site describe individual experiences. They are not a promise of a particular refund, savings, or outcome. Fees, when discussed, are quoted for a defined scope before work begins.
Credential
Rob Wood is an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrollment is a federal credential. It is not a state CPA license, and this firm does not hold itself out as a certified public accounting firm.
